Embracing the Wildness Within: A Journey of Rediscovery and Connection
How a Dance with Nature's Canvas Ignited My Passions and Unveiled the Art of Living
I surrendered to my passions; wandering in nature and photography.
I desired to hike a specific trail, though, for a brief moment, I felt anxious as it was unfamiliar to me. Still, I knew all would be well as I had already imagined writing this post and editing a picture that I had fallen in love with.
I headed out on the adventure.
As I walked, I placed my hand on the weathered and aging bottom of a tall Saguaro cactus. I stood there for a long time, breathing and feeling a strong connection with its energy and the surroundings. Since there was no one else on this trail, I could stay for as long as I wanted. There are no accidents, I decided to take this particular path.
With each exhale, I began to receive the understanding that the life-giving light behind my eye, the same light that is behind the cactus, the earth, the sky, and all critters is our connection and a playful dance from the silence of feeling it all.
From the stillness, we had a wonderful time together; each in our unique expression of the one. I felt a lightness, and love envelop me and when I turned to look at the green valley below, it appeared even more vibrant and alive. I was giddy with delight. This is Magic.
In my dance with nature, I felt a profound sense of connection and belonging. I activated and invited back a lost part of myself; it was a harmonious play with the magic that I am.
I had suppressed my passions, but the power to set them free, to be expressed, had always been within me. Now, I have unlocked that part of myself and welcomed back the passions that give me so much joy, life, love, and dance to my day.
Nature is my Wildness Inspiration Station
The old me has died as the new is giving life to so much pleasure, passion, and delights.
Feeling complete, with greater wholeness, I turned and moved three steps forward. Glancing to the left and down, I noticed what appeared to be a heart shape. It had fallen out of a decaying cactus.
Love and life are continuous, timeless, and eternal. Shedding the old, giving life to the new. Each day is an opportunity to be reborn.
As I type these words, my gaze extends into the vast desert behind my home, where a magnificent Saguaro cactus, with its eight outstretched arms, serves as a poignant and loving reminder of the magical dance that resides within each of us who are ready to give life to it.
The life I once traversed has been consigned to the past. I now set my sights on a new aim, a new direction, and a new creative journey.
